The fun never stops. Happy and honoured to be featured on CBC radio's Homestretch today. They've also added a story to their national news page here.

It was great to be on the radio again. I had some flashbacks to many moons ago when I was doing freelance work for CBC in Kamloops.

I expect the radio feature to be archived soon on the Homestretch page. I'll update when that goes live.

True story: the book was done, I was doing the final read through and I found a date that wasn't lining up. I called Ned in a panic, he confirmed that I had the date right and I came down off the ledge. You see, my biggest fear, the one that kept me up at night was that Andy Yakubik would read the book and call me up to let me know what I got wrong. Andy is one of the world's foremost Steinberger instrument authorities. Thankfully, he loved the book. He connected with me and Ned over Zoom and we had a great time talking about the book. Here's the video:

Steinberger Officially Arrives Today

Today is the day. Well, today is Steinberger’s official release day. We had all kinds of trumpets ready to blare and newsboys on street corners lined up to announce the news, but given the state of the world, that just didn’t seem like the right thing to do. So, we’ve put all that stuff on hold and are letting it come into the world a little more subtly. Which is good. With any luck, we’ll be able to go back to bookstores soon and this little story about an incredible man and his contribution to the world of music will be waiting on the shelves.

There are so many people to thank for sharing their stories. Gary, Corey, Laurie and the rest of the NS Design are all exceptional people and were great help. Hap Kuffner and Stuart Spector are both amazing storytellers who graciously shared their stories with me. Jeff Babicz and Stuart Staley opened the door to Steinberger Sound in Newburgh. Thanks to Tony Levin for the first story and Steve Miller for the last one. Many other’s voices are in the book and I’m grateful to every one. Most importantly, and obviously, thanks Ned for trusting me and sharing his story.

Many thanks too for those who have already purchased pre-order copies. The kind words and support are much appreciated.

At the airport, sitting in the same cafe I was in a couple of years ago. Just finished the same breakfast. Heading off to NAMM. Pretty glad that it didn't take so long to return this time. Some things remain the same (I'm escaping -29C), many change. Where last time it was putting the finishing touches on the Ned book, this time it's all about sharing it with everyone. Stay tuned, I'll do my best to update regularly. Thanks, everyone!
