Two big announcements today:
Rowman & Littlefield is taking preorders for the hardcover Chasing Tone. I can't tell you how exciting it is to see all this coming together. It's available on the R&L site and your favourite Amazon location. And, episode one of the new podcast is live too - SURPRISE!! You can find it on all the podcast sites. Link from this page, or listen here: We're getting very, very close. We have the cover, typeset copy is here for the second to last edit, indexing done, there's even a Spotify play list to whet the appetite.
If you're interested in a little visual journey of how a book comes together, check this out. And we're on track for the August release. Can't wait to share this with everyone. Not too sure what to say about this one, except thanks for all the amazing and ongoing support NSDesign. Ned makes amazing instruments, and I can't imagine playing anything else. Such an honour to be in such good company with such a great company!
Check out my page here!! After much back and forth and way too much overthinking - we've got a title. The train is rolling down the tracks, full steam ahead. Stay tuned...
Very happy to be able to share that the pieces are in place and it's all systems go with Chasing Tone. We're looking at hardcover and e-books in July with paperbacks to follow.
Stay tuned for updates as we get closer - can't wait to share this one with everyone! The story I wrote for Design New England is back online on the rebranded Boston.com. It's a few years old, but still fun and the pictures are fantastic (can't take any credit for those).
Check it out here. After two years, hundreds of hours of interviews, and, finally, a trip to Santa Rosa to dig through the archives, the next book is on to the final editing stages. I can’t tell you how excited and honoured I am to add Rob Turner’s and the EMG story to the bibliography. I’ve put together a little teaser page here. Watch for more details as we work through the publishing process. Many, many thanks to the artists, the Turners, and Rob for sharing their stories. Can’t wait to share it with everyone. The author and the subject - May 23, 2022.
